We extend a warm welcome to you as you visit us through Regent Christian Academy's International School web site.
On September, 1989, the first international student attended the school; two years later, the International Department was officially established.
On average, we welcome more than 100 international students each year. This body of students is much appreciated and valued as a part of our school community.
Regent offers full integration from grades Kindergarten to 12 to qualified applicants. Students, grades 7 to 12 age, are tested for English and, in most cases, will be required to attend classes in the International School where they receive intensive English instruction. Short term international programs and camps are also offered.
Students who fulfill our grade 12 academic graduation requirements receive the "Dogwood Diploma" issued by the British Columbia Ministry of Education that qualifies students to enter a college or university after graduation.
The International School is a safe and caring place. With trained staff able to meet the needs of the international student, we are committed to preparing each student for their successful integration into the academic expectations of regular school. All of our programs are designed to produce students with a high level of education, discipline, and maturity.
A wide variety of extra-curricular activities are offered - basketball, volleyball, soccer, music events, and drama productions - to enrich the language learning experience.
As you view our site, we hope you gain a favourable impression of the opportunities available. Thank you for spending this time with us.
- Mrs. Maggie Callander,
Director of International Programs
