Our Location
Regent Christian Academy has been offering excellent short term summer and winter school programs for many years. We are located in Surrey, a suburb of Vancouver. Our campus is about a 45-minute drive from downtown Vancouver.
Our Programs
Regent Christian Academy programs have been designed to meet the interest and needs of students from Grade 1 to Grade 12.
We offer:
- English classes
- Organized field trips and excursions
- Sightseeing and outdoor activities
- Winter sports in our winter program
English Instruction
The focus in our short term programs is on speaking and understanding every day English. We also introduce students to Canadian culture and history.
Students receive about 15 hours of English instruction per week. Generally, classes take place from Monday to Friday, except on holidays.
Length and Time of Program
Normally, our programs are three weeks long, but we are prepared to offer programs of longer or shorter duration.
Our Summer Programs take place in July and August. Usually, the first day of our program falls on a Saturday.
The Summer Programs are approximately:
- July 7 - July 28
- July 14 - August 4
- July 21 - August 11
Our Winter Programs can take place any time from December to April. Winter School includes skiing / snowboarding at the world famous Whistler / Blackcomb Ski Resort.

(Sundays are spent with homestay families.)
Visa
No student visa is required for these programs. Students from some countries may need a visitor's visa.
Medical Insurance
Students must carry their own medical insurance. It may be purchased through our school at $20 a week.
Accommodations
Students will stay with well -chosen Canadian families. This gives them the opportunity to practice their English and become familiar with Canadian family life. Their homestay family will drive them to and from school.
